Nurturing the New-Age of E-Commerce

One great thing about human beings is how we are always demanding more and more from ourselves. This allows us to grow a lot over time, and consequentially, hit upon some huge milestones. Shopify has officially launched an all-new feature called Shopify Collabs, which will help creators in connecting with different merchants, thus giving them a unique avenue to make money. If a creator wishes to use the service, they can get started by applying for a dedicated Shopify Collabs account. After logging into their, they can scour through all the Shopify merchants and pick the ones that actually make sense in regards to their audience. The last step for the creator would be to prepare a list of relevant products that they can share on their social media handles. This is done with the help of Linkpop, Shopify’s link in bio tool. Whenever someone will complete a purchase using the stated link, the creator will become eligible to receive a certain payout. Talk about the size and structure of these payments, they are likely to vary from merchant to merchant.

“Shopify is where the world’s best independent brands go to build their businesses,” said Amir Kabbara, Shopify’s director of Product, in a statement. “With Shopify Collabs, we’re making it simple for creators to discover and partner with these brands so they can make more money and reach economic independence. In the future, Collabs will be fully integrated with Shopify, giving creators access to more parts of our platform and accelerating their journey as entrepreneurs.”

Of course, the feature does a lot to incentivize the brands as well. It lets them into a marketing and sales avenue that is currently on an upwards trend and already boasts an impressive conversion rate. Furthermore, as the service is entirely managed by Shopify, the merchant is able to reap the benefits without having to go through any administrative hassle.

At the moment, Shopify Collabs is available in US and Canada, but there is every reason for us to expect a much wider rollout soon.
