Moving into a New-Age of Logistics

While a human life tends to have all the freedom you’d want, it is somewhat particular about a few things. One such thing revolves around our need to pursue constant movement. You see, we can afford many mistakes during our lives, but what we cannot afford is the error of staying still for longer periods. This is because, as soon as we do that, we end up wasting an unimaginable amount of potential, and the said by-product benefits no one. However, it is also worth noticing how pursuing constant progression isn’t so easy. In fact, it can sometimes take up a whole life to complete that next step, so to simplify the process a little; the world would conceive certain concepts over time. All these concepts will move the needle for us using a unique approach, but if we must deem one as the absolute best, it will be technology. Technology runs away with the honor due to a very notable reason i.e. it introduced a whole new way of pushing human beings forward. Under the creation’s stewardship, our growth trajectory suddenly looked a lot more streamlined, and when you have such a luxury at your disposal, the likelihood of results being in your favor is always going to be far greater than otherwise. The current tech-driven reality has already validated this claim time and time again, but as it seems like, we are set to witness another piece of evidence soon.

FedEx has officially confirmed that it is working on a new feature, which will allow customers to track their shipments from other logistical services. Named Crosstrack, the new feature prepares FedEx to achieve a diverse footprint in the next few years. It rigorously follows the template presented by Shopify and its Shop app. The Shop app brought an interesting dimension to the logistics business when it became the first ever provider to enable customers in terms of tracking deliveries from different services, including Amazon, FedEx, UPS, USPS, and more. It made the process possible through an import of tracking information from the user’s email inbox. While FedEx hasn’t revealed any concrete details about its own approach, the company is expected to practice something similar. As per certain reports, the FedEx app users will be able to view their shipments’ status in two separate tabs called FedEx and Crosstrack. The former one is expectantly going to have your FedEx deliveries’ information. Crosstrack tab, on the other hand, will have all the relevant details about any shipments coming from a different provider.

“FedEx is constantly exploring digital experience concepts to help meet our customers’ needs. This is one of the many things we have tested with customers,” a FedEx spokesperson said.

Notably enough, FedEx is still yet to set a timeline for launching the feature.
