Reimagining the Way You Play

There are, as we know, many different things that separate humans from the rest, but nothing does the job quite like our ability to grow on a consistent basis. You see, when an individual is able to get better under all possible situations, they eventually guide themselves towards some huge milestones along the way. The same remains evident across whatever we have achieved so far, with one distinct piece of testimony coming from an idea called technology. Now, the reason why technology enjoys a unique space on our portfolio is largely predicated upon its unprecedented skill-set, which gave us a set of offerings that we had never even imagined before. In case the stated element wasn’t enough, those skills were also able to impact our entire spectrum, thus kickstarting a full-fledged tech revolution. Nevertheless, even after inspiring serious advancements in every single area, this tech revolution will still continue to produce the right goods. The same pattern was, in fact, put on display by Robin Games’ first ever title.

Women-led mobile gaming startup, Robin Games has officially launched its first mobile game called PLAYHOUSE, which unlike any other game, packs gaming and shopping into one cohesive experience. Available on both Android and iOS, PLAYHOUSE is basically a DIY-natured game that lets you drag-and-drop furniture and décor into spaces, thus giving you an idea regarding how it might look in the real-world setting. Once an individual has taken a stock of the stated element, they can, if they feel like, move on to purchase those products for their actual space. Talk about products, they all come from some of the most prestigious brands in the business such as Arhaus, Article, 1stDibs, Chairish, One Kings Lane, ABC Carpet & Home, Jenni Kayne, Society6, Bloomscape, Room & Board, Lulu & Georgia, and many more. The game, in totality, has over 100 brands on its roster at the moment, while boasting more than 6,000 pieces of real furniture and décor.

Furthermore, the users can also submit their own design projects to be rated by other players. The incentive to do that is earning all the tickets, coins and gems they can then use to level up. Nevertheless, that’s not only thing Robin Games has done to make the game fun. The company has even partnered with content creators including design enthusiasts, artists, Airbnb hosts, and others to create limited-time “hosted projects” that will be purposed around inspiring players to produce their original designs.

“One of the main reasons we wanted to make PLAYHOUSE, and ‘Lifestyle Games’ in general, is because we see a hole in the market for truly expressive, creative games,” said Robin Games co-founder and CEO, Jill Wilson. “It’s unusual to think of an interior design-focused game as a fantasy game but we do — it’s a different type of fantasy from what is typically explored in games. Getting to design spaces with beautiful pieces as if you are an interior designer is a real-world fantasy for many people”

Notably, while PLAYHOUSE is free to play for anyone, users can unlock more pieces of furniture and décor through gems that are available to purchase within the game.
