Human beings are known for many different things, but most of all they are known for getting better on a consistent basis. This growth-oriented tendency of ours has allowed us to hit upon some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a unique member of the stated squad. The reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is largely down to its skill-set, which introduced us to a reality that we couldn’t have imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we take a second and look beyond the surface, it becomes clear that the whole runner was also very much predicated upon the way we applied those skills across a real-world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. This revolution, as we discovered later, would scale up the human experience from every conceivable direction, but even after achieving something so monumental, technology will somehow continue bringing all the right goods to the table. This has turned more and more evident on the back of our recent progression, and a new funding should only bolster its case moving forward.
Jasper, an AI content platform, has successfully secured over $125 million in Series A financing. Led by Insight Partners, the round saw further participation coming from the likes of Coatue, Bessemer Venture Partners, IVP, Foundation Capital, Founders Circle Capital, HubSpot Ventures and more. According to certain reports, the company will use the newly-raised cash to scale up its product, while also enhancing customer experience and constructing a presence on all those platforms that most creators prefer. Founded in 2021, Jasper started with an intention to use AI for generating content that fits a host of different niches, such as blog articles, social media posts, website copy etc. Basically, all you have to do is tell Jasper what exactly is supposed to be the centerpiece of your piece, and whether you are looking for SEO-friendly content or just something repurposed with a few more details. Now, while companies like Copy.ai, WriteSonic, and Peppertype, are doing something similar, Jasper’s unique selling point is its ability to customize content on a granular level, and therefore accommodate needs of every single user. This is why the company’s platform has been used for wide expanse of purposes, ranging from casual-sounding blog articles to professional assignments.
Beyond the unmatched specificity, the company has now built itself another differentiator in Jasper Art, which turns prompts into images. Once the conversion is completed, the service lets you adjust elements like medium, art style, and mood. Talk about the long-term plans for Jasper Art, it’s a system conceived mainly for marketing applications. This, notably enough, includes creating copyright-free stock photos.
Serving over 70,000 customers at the moment, Jasper hopes to build upon the growing AI momentum, and as a result, more than double its $40 million revenue from 2021.
When quizzed regarding Jasper’s future prospects, Jeff Horing, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Insight Partners, said.
“It’s not often that you see a shift as significant as generative AI, and Jasper is positioned to be a platform to transform the way businesses develop content and convey ideas. The company has built an enormous community around AI in such a short time, and we see new use cases shared every day, including in the enterprise. We look forward to partnering with the Jasper team as they continue to grow and expand on their vision.”
