Rillavoice Raises $3.7 Million in Seed Financing; Plans to Transform On-Field Sales Pitches

The human arsenal is surely expansive beyond all known limits, but it still doesn’t possess anything more valuable than that tendency of ours to grow on a consistent basis. We say this because the stated tendency has already fetched us some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a rather unique member of the group. The main reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is down to its skill-set, which was unprecedented enough to guide us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look beyond the surface for a second, it should become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real-world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence, and consequentially, kickstarted a tech revolution. This revolution, as we know, will go on to scale up the human experience from every conceivable direction, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, technology will somehow keep on bringing all the right goods to the table. The same has turned more and more evident in recent times, and truth be told, a new piece of funding does a lot to make that trend bigger and better moving forward.

Rillavoice, a startup based in New York City, has successfully secured over $3.7 million in seed financing. Led by Crew Capital, the round saw further participation coming from the likes of Entrepreneurs Roundtable Fund, Jason Calacanis’s Launch Fund, Broom Ventures, Comma Capital, and the NYU Innovation Venture Fund. According to certain reports, the company will use the newly-raised cash to expand its 10-member team by five times. Founded in 2019, Rillavoice started out with an intention to reinvent how field sales teams across the board would usually work. In order to realize this ambitious goal, the company developed speech analytics software, which is designed to help sales reps in recording their conversations with various customers. Once recorded, the software would transcribe those conversations into a comprehensible piece of text before roping in machine learning technology to gain insights that can eventually be used to improve the company’s overall sales push.

“Most sales people in America and around the world do not spend their days sitting in an office, talking to their customers on Zoom. They speak with their customers offline, face to face, in their businesses, in their homes and in their stores…there are billions of face-to-face interactions every month,” said Sebastian Jimenez Bienen, CEO and co-founder of Rillavoice.

As for the utility, Rillavoice’s software can be used across a wide range of industries, including home services, telecom, solar energy, pharma, insurance, CPG, payments and retail. Fair enough, this versatility carries over to the company’s clientele that includes names like Window Nation, Rebath, Fortune 500 company, Duke Energy, and many others.

The signs are encouraging from the numbers’ standpoint as well, with the company achieving seven-figure recurring revenue in just its first year of sales, and that momentum is now being duly maintained by a monthly growth rate of 30% to 50%.

When quizzed regarding Rillavoice, Dylan Reider, partner at Crew Capital, said:

“Rillavoice is transforming outside sales. Many industries’ sales are predicated on reps engaging customers in the field, away from an office setting. Customers love Rillavoice’s mobile-first, user-friendly SaaS platform because it increases sales rep productivity, drives more revenue for the business, and increases managers’ coaching efficiency. At Crew Capital, we back founders with a bold vision to augment or completely reshape an industry through technology, and that is exactly what Rillavoice is doing in outside sales.”

Although there are a host of companies that seemingly focus on an identical goal, Rillavoice’s “proprietary signal processing and natural language processing algorithms” have been successful in keeping it a cut above the rest.
