A New Chapter for Healthcare

Instead, they must continuously feed its growth to achieve the outcomes that it promised.

When key structures of our society became growth-oriented, that was the moment we embarked on to a new journey. On the way, we hit many milestones that contributed to our enhanced way of living, but one of the bigger ones was improved healthcare. Medical sector, upon committing to technology, saw a huge influx of tech-driven tools that changed everyone’s perception of the sphere. Saving lives and encouraging overall well-being of human body became easier with the help of different healthcare trends that played an important role in sector’s progress. Now, it’s time for the next big thing. Laparoscopic surgeries, despite the advancement we have witnessed in other medical areas, haven’t seen much change coming its way in the last 40 years, but now it’s getting a big one, and it’s coming in the form of surgical robots.

A California-based company, Levita Magnetics recently announced that their still in progress, Levita Robotic Platform has officially been used for the first time to perform a surgery in Chile. How it basically works is by using the magnets that are applied externally to control and maneuver devices that are essentially inserted into the body while carrying out a laparoscopic procedure. This supplements better movement without demanding a fixed pivot point. For years, one of the biggest things associated with a surgical procedure has been its invasive nature due to number of incisions required, but surgical robots are turning this tide. Using this technology enables you to make fewer incisions, which eventually reduces the toll on a patient’s body and supports faster recovery.
