A Nationwide Push to Satisfy Your Cravings

One of the best things about human beings is that they never miss a chance to improve. This simple fact does a lot to empower us when it comes to pursuing growth on a rather consistent basis. Now, when you are able to make so many step-ups along the way, you naturally become more and more likely to stumble upon some significant milestones. However, if we take a second and assess these milestones in hindsight, we are surely not finding anything as significant as a certain creation called technology. Technology’s emergence changed the game forever mainly because of how it managed to impact each and every area on our spectrum. The stated dynamic did a lot to raise our floor, something that, in turn, led us towards even higher altitudes. However, while we were already touching upon some unprecedented stuff, we notably kept on chipping away, therefore setting ourselves up for a completely new reality. This particular reality has already fetched us a host of interesting by-products, and looking at Uber Eats’ latest announcement, it seems like we might be in for one more.

Uber Eats has officially launched its nationwide shipping service, which should help customers from all over US in ordering from select merchants in New York City, Miami, and Los Angeles. As per certain reports, Uber is partnering with logistics giant, FedEx, to realize the service on such a grand scale. Talk about the merchants, the company will start by enlisting a humble sum of 15 merchants that include Bludso’s BBQ or Gotta Have S’More in LA, Sarge’s Deli or Wafels & Dinges in NYC and Sabores Market or Doggi’s Arepa Bar in Miami. Further details go on to shed light on how the service will be completely free, while also confirming that it won’t be available in Alaska and Hawaii right away. The entire process of enjoying Uber’s new brainchild is pretty simplistic. You can find the option of nationwide shipping on Uber Eats’app home screen. Once you have selected the merchant and everything you want to order from them, you can just conveniently fill in your address and payment details before placing the order. As soon as your order is confirmed by the merchant, FedEx will email you the tracking information.

“We’re committed to being a platform that allows consumers to get anything (like their favorite foods from across the country) and finding new and diverse ways to help merchants grow their business,” said an Uber spokesperson.

This move comes as a part of wider effort from Uber. The company has been looking for new ways to optimize the financial value in each delivery and that’s largely why it also launched other services like on-demand grocery delivery and deliveries with robots over the recent past. Interestingly enough, Uber Eats isn’t the first food delivery company to pursue nationwide shipping. Many rival companies such as DoorDash have proven themselves quicker in turning their attention to the stated model, but having said that, Uber Eats still has every right to fancy its chances in this new journey.
