CloudApp Taps $9.3 Million in Series B; Plans to Transform Workplace Productivity

For years, the world saw a concept like progress as nothing but a choice. This significantly narrowed down our possibilities, thus making sure that a good chunk of our potential remains untapped. Fortunately, though, we were able to move beyond the said mindset, and once we did, things changed rather dramatically. Soon enough, we were devising news ways through which we could fulfill our growth-related ambitions. While every step here proved instrumental in some way, it all kind of fell pale when we stumbled upon technology. Technology didn’t just introduce us to a new brand of growth, but it also took us towards a new way of living. Now, making a switch in regards to how we approach every day would go on to benefit us in a major manner, and this includes improving our work life. Since arriving on the scene, technology has reinvented how people in different disciplines go about their business. However, it has also offered big upgrades on factors that are relatively common between each profession. An example of technology’s efforts around improving these factors was delivered to us by a recent funding.

CloudApp, a collaboration platform to enhance productivity, has officially secured $9.3 million in Series A funding. Led by Grayhawk Capital and Nordic Eye, the round saw further participation from Kickstart Fund, Cervin Ventures, New Ground Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, Peninsula Ventures & Forward VC, Peter Kazanjy, the CRO of Atrium, and Derek Andersen, the CEO of Startup Grind and Bevy. CloudApp has fascinated the world for a while now. The platform’s success in bolstering productivity through smooth addition of shareable videos, gifs, and screenshots into workflows has never been seen before. Boasting over four million users at the moment, CloudApp is also serving massive names like Adobe, Salesforce, Uber, Zendesk, and many more.

“We see CloudApp initially as an incredibly easy and fast way to capture what you need to share. Knowledge is power, so teams can then build out repositories of content and quick-help videos that can be used throughout workflows and integrations to help all parts of an organization: sales, support, product, engineering teams, etc,” said Scott Smith, CEO of CloudApp.

CloudApp is working to realize a future where interactions between relevant parties are way more searchable and shareable than they are right now, and it plans on getting there through the route of artificial intelligence. However, it’s going to be a long journey. Hence, as a new step in that direction, CloudApp hopes to use the new funding for making its tools faster, more deeply integrated, and secure.
