A Faster Future is Closer than Ever Before

As individuals, we must learn how to adapt to what is an ever-changing environment. If we don’t do that, we run a very high risk of stagnating beyond expectations. With such high stakes in play, we often turn to avenues that can aid our cause rather meaningfully, as we try to match the paces of time. Now, over the years, we have come across various productive avenues, each one designed to facilitate a different stride, but if the conversation transitions into picking the most impactful of them all, the answer will definitely be technology. This is the case due to how technology went about things. Instead of just guiding a step or two like other channels, technology really changed our whole approach to our journey from an individual and societal standpoint. In fact, even after it became a proven phenomenon, the creation continued to find ways through which it could leave a unique imprint on our lives. When such a dynamic ends up taking the centre stage, it’s rightfully expected to pave the way for many other by-products, and technology, in its turn, would drop some really groundbreaking ones along the way. The latest by-product, however, to appear on the tech horizon comes from Comcast.

Comcast has officially announced an upgrade for the company’s xFi Advanced Gateway Wi-Fi router. According to certain reports, the new version will support the Wi-Fi 6E standard. Furthermore, it is said to have built in Zigbee and Matter IoT capabilities. The notable addition of 6GHz band to a setup already equipped with 5GHz and 2.4 bands is currently being seen as a major step towards achieving a Wi-Fi framework, which can handle large volume of devices at once. In case that’s not big enough, the new on the block Wi-Fi 6E also promises to act as a reliable facilitator for devices that use up relatively higher bandwidth like VR headsets gaming consoles, and various others.

“The next generation gateway underpins our commitment to providing the best whole-home Wi-Fi experience with the fastest speeds, ultimate control, advanced cybersecurity protection and broad coverage in the home, “said Dave Watson, CEO, Comcast Cable.

Assuming the further available details are factual, the new router will introduce a processor that can make internet speeds observed in Comcast’s Gigabit Pro Plan more sustainable, something the previous processors have consistently struggled to fulfil. Building upon an expanded breathing space, the company now looks to “deliver multi-gigabit upload and download speeds.”
