Another Bid at Widening the Spectrum

While humans are known to be good at many different things, there is nothing we do better than growing on a rather consistent basis. This, in particular, allows us to hit upon some huge milestones along the way. The same is proven by everything we have achieved so far, with notable piece of testimony coming from an idea called technology.           The reason why technology gets to enjoy such a pivotal place in our lives is notably predicated upon its unprecedented skill-set. Nevertheless, those skills wouldn’t have amounted to much, if it wasn’t for the manner in which they were used around the real-world setting. By combining excellence in both regards, the world was able to put-together a spectrum-wide presence for the creation, but ever after doing so, we’ll see the tech revolution continue to grow under one capacity or the other. In fact, looking at Uber Eats’ latest move, this pattern should only grow bigger and better moving forward.

Uber Eats has officially announced a partnership with Office Depot and OfficeMax to deliver school and business supplies across the country. As a part of the agreed arrangement, people using Uber Eats can scour through and order from more than 900 Office Depot outlets that are currently operating within the US. Talk about the items included, “from ink and toner, to backpacks, binders, and more, consumers will be able to shop for thousands of items and have them delivered right to their door,” While being able to avail these products at home is ‘the’ news for many out there, customer who have subscribed to Uber’s monthly subscription service, Uber One, can also expect to receive additional benefits. These benefits talk to outright free delivery and a flat 5 discount on all orders that boast a minimum value of around $15.

When quizzed regarding what the collaboration could mean for Office Depot, Jamie Columbus, vice president of e-commerce for Office Depot, said:

“With the start of a new school year and new busy schedules for many, we’re excited to team up with Uber Eats to provide students, parents, teachers, small business owners and home office workers with an additional on-demand delivery option to help them get the tools they need, when they need them. We’re proud to offer a wide assortment of business, teaching and learning products on the Uber Eats platform, with significant savings off our best-selling school supplies available through Sept. 10.”

This seems like another bid on Uber Eats’ part to diversify its business. The food delivery giant has already expanded into offering deliveries for pharmaceutical items, pet and beauty products, liquor, and more. Nevertheless, with its competitors boasting a similarly aggressive approach, we can very well witness the company tapping into even more segments in the near future.
